Bread making competition

As part of this year’s festival, the Sherwood Rise Residents’ Association is holding a bread making competition.

Entries from last year

categories include: sweet, savoury and bread sculptures

Age groups: 0-6 / 7-12 / 13-17 / 18-100+

Bring your entry on the day and be in with a chance of winning some fabulous prizes. Last year’s winners received bread baking cook books and bake ware.

Bread will be judged on presentation, so get creative, judges are hoping to see a variety of breads which reflect and celebrate our diverse community.

All entries accepted from naan bread and pitta bread to bagels and sourdough loaves – anything goes as long as it’s bread!

Children are invited to create decorative bread sculptures from bread dough.

Bring your entries to Hedley Villas Park, off Sherwood Rise on Saturday 11 October, gates open 12.00pm
